Left to cherish his memory are his three children Robert (Barb), Wendy (Sandor) and Kathy.Six grandchildren Brandy, Derik, Scott, Brian (Megan), Darrell, Amanda. One great- grandchild McKenna. One sister Helen (Glen) and a special friend Madeline. He was predeceased by his wife Betty, parents Johannes and Katharina, sisters Ella,Elsie, Emma, Ida and brothers Otto and Alex. As a child Ed grew up in the Elmwood area, he enrolled in the Navy in 1943, where he was stationed in Nova Scotia for eight months. At the age of 17, he worked at Elite Metal Products for 44 yearsuntil his retirement in 1986. The loss of his wife Betty in 1991 was difficult. He cared for her throughout the years of her illness. He was loving and attentive to her needs. Ed was a loving husband, great dad and a caring grandfather. He willbe missed. Please join the family for a memorial service on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Home with reception to follow. We would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassionate care andmedical attention.
