I scanned the page from Gustav Kull's bible with the reference to Elsi's death. Unfortunately, it's handwritten German. I can't understand it. It's the 20th of some month, 1908. When we get a translation, we'll update this record.

On the 90th anniversary of her death, just coincidentally...

Robert and Eric Snyder verified the location of Rozi Schmidt-Kuhl's grave. When you enter the cemetery from Hespeler, turn L. Drive down to the sign on the left 7C/1. You'll notice that the headstones change direction at this point. There was a road here at one time. Just to the left (East) of the road at this point, you'll find the grave with Charles Taman's headstone on it. Bob remembers Grandfather Gustav Kull getting him to stop at this location for many years to care for his (Gustav's) Mother's grave.

It appears to me as though Gustav Kull is going off to McArthur, North Dakota from Winnipeg. Is that how this Border Crossings thing is supposed to work?? /rws

Gustav was age 31 at the time of this entry. So it must have been around 1915 that he was crossing.

Here's Verna's cover note:
"I thought that it was interesting to see a picture of Grampa in his younger years without the kids around him.

I cropped the family picture and you see him differently as an individual
He suddenly seems much younger--

Richard's grandson was needing information on his family for a school project.
He's using some of the information that we've gathered
It's gratifying to see someone of his generation(he's about 10) using the info."
